I am an investor, advisor and P.E. partner focused on early stage technology companies in the UK valued between £0 and £5m that are S/EIS eligible. I only invest where I can add value with my time and expertise through an advisory or board role; I am not a silent investor. I have taken two of my own businesses from bedroom start-ups to international scale and later successful exits. I typically hold a portfolio of six to ten active investments and have had successful exits from more than 20 firms alongside a few failures.
I back businesses that disrupt stale markets with new technology, with experience across digital shopping coupons, app-based tutoring, gamified staff incentives, online property maintenance, app-booked micro gyms, ultra-luxury online travel agents, online glasses, web-based logistics, sales optimisation software, programmatic marketing and software analytics consulting. I spend regular time with any company that wants it, whether bouncing ideas, joining the office when all hands are needed, or playing devil's advocate to provoke alternative thinking.
